Ghent University Global Campus (GUGC), established in 2014, offers bachelor’s degrees in life sciences:
Environmental Technology, Food Technology, and Molecular Biotechnology. GUGC aims to inspire students to
address global challenges such as international health, climate change, and food security. Through critical
and creative thinking, GUGC's programs equip students with the skills needed to develop innovative solutions.

The Center for Language and Learning aims to develop the production of safe and healthy foods.
We conduct research in food microbiology in order to help protect the consumer from foodborne pathogens and
in food biotechnology to develop new functional foods by utilization of natural bioactive molecules.
